These images are all taken directly out of the game, most being screen grabbed straight from the device we were testing/playing the game on at the time.
If you look very closely at the coin when playing the game, you can see the Gamer Camp Course Director Oliver Williams' face embossed upon it. We felt this was suitable thanks for all he did during the course.
This is one of my favourite screenshots, it was actually of a bug we encountered where the game was loading our HD assets for retina display onto a none retina screen, as a result the mermen appeared huge. Thankfully like most of our bugs it was solved just by finding the file name someone had spelt wrong when loading the asset. We discovered that iPhone simulator isn't very case sensitive but as soon as you start running on the device, one lower case letter and you'll run into problems.
Our Games main menu screen, artistic credit goes to Jenny Medlock, for putting this together in a very small amount of time, but at the same time totally capture the feel of the game.

Hot Off The Press
In between levels of the game we chose to use newspapers to explain the progression of the game, and help tell the games story. The style really fitted with the alternative 1950' B-movie style of the game. One of our biggest achievements was managing to really capture the feeling of the brief we were given and have an extremely coherent style in the final product.
Sprite Sheets
As I have mentioned I have spent the last month doing a course at the NTI in Birmingham called Gamer Camp Nano. It has been a fantastic experience and I am currently waiting for the game that I helped make on the course to be put onto the app store for people to download and enjoy. The game was made in 11 long and hard production days. With help and mentoring from professionals within the games industry. Within the Blue Team I worked on creating the Sea Monsters that the player would defend the beach from, and also created some of the defences that would repel them. I will be creating some more posts showing off more of the work I did, and also showing screenshots from the upcoming game. I've attached spite sheets for three of the enemies I created and one of the defences, there was also an anchor that the player places to hold back monsters but I seem to have mislaid the sprite sheet for now.
